Frequently Asked Questions for Personalized Custom-made Video Game Commissions (and more)

Q: What’s your process?

A: You’re part of the process, every step of the way! I meet with you to understand what you’re looking for, help you narrow down your ideas into a playable game, and make sure you like what I’m developing.

Q: How long does it take you to make a game?

A: The longer the better! At least 3-4 weeks. I try to have a finished game a few days before the due date, while I spend the remaining development bug-fixing.

(The timeline really depends on the project. I don’t normally do less than 2-weeks, but I can go more than 4-weeks.)

If I do accept a project with a 2-week deadline, it will have to be *very* simple and will have a Rush Order Fee included.

Q: Why does it take so long?

A: I’m a solo indie developer and business owner building a game studio, and I have other things to keep track of to be sustainable in my creativity and business. Also, making a good game takes time!

Q: What do you use to make your games?

A: I make the art by hand using a digital software, and I also animate frame-by-frame in a more traditional method. I use GDevelop, an open-source, visual-scripting, game engine, to compile all the assets to make the game, and various other software and programs.

Q: Why is the price so high for just a simple/small/easy/*pick an adjective* game?

A: Art should be accessible for everyone to create and experience, whereas this is a custom-made, personalized, one-of-a-kind video game for you! It takes hours of communication, art, animation, programming, building, and so much more to make a game. It’s fun and I enjoy it, but it’s a lot of work!

I’m not an App Store with a $0.99 game. I’m Bloomzeye, making you something special.

There aren’t many people who make special occasions, personalized, custom-made, video games. I love to be some of the few that do!

Q: Where else can I connect and support your work?

A: Right here on my website! And I also have early access, monthly supporters and membership page on Buy Me A Coffee (a Patreon and Ko-Fi alternative). Here are the rest of my social media links. I’m pretty much Bloomzeye or Bloomzeye Studio everywhere.

Q: Can you make a game for my business?

A: Games to invite your community to enjoy sounds like fun to make! That would be a commercial product, and my current prices and terms reflect only personal use commissions. Please email me to talk more about a commercial project, I’d love to hear about it!
